The first track, Ballad 1 (Sorry), was played on BBC Introducing for Leeds and Sheffield the day before release and has since acquired a string of positive press reviews.

‘If the rest of the songs on the EP (‘Ballads for this Age’) are even half as good as “Ballad 1 (Sorry)” the EP will be a masterpiece’ – Bill Adamson

Will Brown, a promising new American artist with a unique voice, released his first EP titled The Walk Higher EP, plus stand-alone singles last year accumulating over half a million streams to date. With a key focus around Welcome To Brownsville which is a theme of the overarching campaign - is an expression of Will's daydreams about his artistry, blending emotional melodies and lyrics. His music aims to convey messages of freedom, hope, liberation, self-acceptance, and love. He confronts judgment and promotes universal love and acceptance.

Born and raised in Kansas, Will now divides his time between London and Los Angeles. His music journey started in his family's deep gospel roots, influenced by artists like Whitney Houston, Brandy, and Sam Smith. He began singing solos in church at the age of seven, showcasing his natural talent.

Will's passion for music blossomed in middle school when he realized his dream of becoming a singer. He later took over the music department in his father's church. At 21, he joined gospel singer DeWayne Woods as a background singer, a role he held for a decade, collaborating with renowned gospel artists.

Will's church life profoundly influences his music, extending beyond gospel to a broader pop spectrum. His transition to pop music was a leap of faith, believing in his destiny to become a singer. This belief was affirmed when a chance encounter led him to perform with Jackson Browne in Santa Monica.

Will draws inspiration from 1950s and 1960s artists, admiring their meaningful lyrics. Vocally, he is influenced by Whitney Houston, Brandy, and Sam Smith, shaping his unique sound.
