Country In The Afternoon returns to The Half Moon Putney on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2026 for its 15th edition. Four superb country & americana artists will appear each afternoon reflecting the broad spectrum of these genres.
Saturday 16th May will be headlined at 4pm by Nashville-based Ryan Kinder, a soul-driven country-rock artist known for his guitar chops, gritty vocals, authentic storytelling and dynamic musicianship. With over 100 million streams and collaborations with icons like John Fogerty and Zac Brown Band, Ryan continues to push boundaries and connect with audiences worldwide. His debut album, Room to Dream, introduced listeners to his soul-driven country-rock sound. With his latest album, Heirloom, Ryan takes listeners deeper into his journey of introspection and authenticity.
Opening up the day at 1pm will be award-winning contemporary singer-songwriter Chris Fox, who is an independent musician spanning the roots lexicon of folk, americana, country and blues. A genre defying troubadour, audiences are enthralled by his rich vocals, complex guitar playing, and loop pedal alchemy, finding Chris to be humorous & thought provoking in equal measures. His naturally laid back, unostentatious style creates the perfect ambience for an intimate and inclusive live experience drawing listeners in with tales of the everyday and the unexpected.
At 2pm, Dave Burn Band will take the stage. Dave has been playing in bands since he was 13, and he just can’t shake the bug. A pioneer of UK alt-country, he co-founded the harmony-heavy Ahab with Callum Adamson and later joined indie americana ‘supergroup’, Orphan Colours. Along with two solo albums - 2017’s Arizona and 2025’s Medium Dave + Friends, he also records as duo The Marriage with Kirsten Adamson and has written songs with Danny & The Champions Of The World, Blair Dunlop, Danni Nicholls, Benjamin Folke Thomas, Katzenjammer and Sol Heilo. Burn’s music takes elements of Brit folk artists such as Richard Thompson and American singer-songwriters from Tim Rose to Tom Petty, then blends them with the sound of classic London indie bands and UK Americana, topped off with literary, twisting lyrics examining both life’s biggest questions and its most fascinating ordinary moments.
Following on at 3pm will be Kylie Price, the captivating songstress who traces her roots to the picturesque landscapes of New Zealand and the vibrant culture of the Philippines. Kylie's music seamlessly blends deeply emotional lyricism with irresistible hooks, creating a sound that is both introspective and universally relatable. Embarking on her musical journey as a singer-songwriter, her single 'Perfect' soared to #6 on the Official NZ Music Charts, a testament to her growing influence. The triumph continued with her second single, 'Stay,' claiming the #5 spot on the same prestigious platform. Embracing new horizons, Kylie made the courageous move to London, where she graced iconic venues such as The Camden Chapel, Slaughtered Lamb, and sold-out headline shows at the Green Note in Camden. Her performances, infused with a unique blend of Kiwi and Filipino influences, captivate audiences, leaving an indelible mark.
