Meet 3 Daft Monkeys: Brilliantly bonkers world folk festival favourites:

"Highlight of Glastonbury" – Mark Radcliffe, BBC2 – The Sunday Times

With a fiery helter-skelter blend of East and West, 3 Daft Monkeys have captivated audiences across Europe with their genre-defying sound and famously theatrical live shows. Passionate, violin-driven melodies dance above percussive world rhythms and global grooves, anchored by animated guitar and rich bass lines. Their performances are immersive, dynamic, and utterly unique—spanning wildly frenetic observation, reflective narrative, and even the faintly macabre.

Over the years, the band has earned a reputation as one of the most joyful, danceable, and hard-working live acts on the festival circuit. Their stage presence is nothing short of magnetic, drawing crowds into a whirlwind of emotion, movement, and meaning. They have been personally invited for live sessions by both Bob Harris and Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2 and have wowed audiences at Glastonbury, Bearded Theory, Boomtown, and countless other major festivals.

“A quality balance of spaced-out dizziness, danceability and sophisticated folk music.”– Bearded Theory Festival

“One of the hardest-working, best lyric-writing, most joyful bands known to the universe!” – Green Gathering

Recent accolades include Best Album and Best Live Act from the Spiral Earth Readers’ Poll, as well as enthusiastic praise from Louder Than War, The Guardian, and Spiral Earth.Their latest album, Information Camouflage, was hailed as Album of the Year 2024 by critics and fans alike—a crowdfunded triumph that showcases the band's continued evolution and unwavering connection with their audience.

Meet The Trouble Notes: Prog World Folk Alchemists:

Joining the celebration are The Trouble Notes, a genre-blending powerhouse who’ve become international favorites for their dynamic performances and cinematic folk fusions. With their roots spanning three continents—American violinist Bennet Cerven, German guitarist Florian Eisenschmidt, and Australian drummer Julian Lardis—they embody the global spirit of modern folk.

Having toured across 35+ countries and graced the stages of Glastonbury, Boomtown, Green Gathering, and more, The Trouble Notes deliver a rollercoaster of sound: rich in emotion, packed with rhythm, and rooted in storytelling.

They've supported legends like Jethro Tull, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and America, and their second studio album Liberty Awaits was hailed as:

“A transcendent exploration and fusion of various folk styles, showcasing the rich tapestry of our diverse world.”— Earmilk Magazine

“Like nothing I’ve ever seen before… You can’t help but clap, tap your feet or spontaneously jig along to their music!” — Faye Hatcher, BBC Radio

“The Trouble Note’s music is an eclectic fusion of genre across the entirety of the musical spectrum, creating a sound that is truly unique to its own.” – Rob Underwood, BBC Radio Lincolnshire

The Berlin-based trio is Bennet Cerven violin, Florian Eisenschmidt guitar, and Oliver Maguire percussion. An enchanting violin is the voice of the trio accompanied by the groove of the cajón paired with a rhythmic guitar building the incomparable sound of the band.Their music doesn't need words to convey stories or foster connections as it resonates across genres and cultures with visionary and accessible compositions. The trio's aesthetic conjures the intrepid contemporary sounds of EDM, hip-hop, indie rock and stoner rock along with the disciplined traditions of classical, gypsy and jazz.

The band’s emotive, pan-cultural music functions as both personal memoir and a United Nations of sound.
