Line Up

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Catch The Sparrow (singer-songwriter Suze Terwisscha van Scheltinga) initially studied to be a jazz vocalist before her love for folk music brought her to the North East of England. She quickly became a fixture on the Newcastle folk scene, performing extensively throughout the region before relocating to London in 2024.

With the release of her first EP ‘Winter Flowers’ (2022) she established herself as a charismatic performer and masterful songwriter. She released a follow up album called 'No Sweeter Sorrow', arranged and performed in collaboration with fiddle player and singer Sam Baxter, on 2 May 2025 with a sold out concert at The Cumberland Arms in Newcastle.

A natural storyteller with a keen ear for captivating melodies, her songs effortlessly cross boundaries of style and genre to create a sound that is uniquely her own. As she taps into folk ballads and fairytales, she introduces a colourful cast of scorned wives, sheltered princesses, free-spirited poets, and crossdressing adventurers, shedding a new light on timeless tales.

"...the mark of good folk music has always been linked to communicating the most while doing the least, never overstating or embellishing, yet weaving a tapestry where every thread fits perfectly. Farewell - Here's The Tender Coming captures that with ease, encapsulating the heart of the genre in a way that's imbued with heart." - NARC Magazine

“...elaborate, fairy-like ballads on a bed of piano sounds … with the violin seeking its own mercurial way throughout.” - New Folk Sounds

Evangeline Eastwood is a soul-rock singer and songwriter based in Brighton. A powerhouse reminiscent of Janis Joplin, Etta James and Joss Stone. Her vocals reflect a combination of soulful melismas and rocky screams. Accompanied by her backing musicians, Evangeline's music explores the duality of love and heartbreak as well as challenges misogyny and sexism through her lyrics'.

Esme is a singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist from Liverpool. On the outside she may look like your average sweet girl, but Esme is a self-professed angry girl and this comes through in her newest songs. Esme creates raw and honest songs with intricate guitar lines and emotive vocals. In her live shows she draws audiences in with her touchingly personal style and entrances them with driving band arrangements.

Esme released her second EP, Saviour Complex in March 2025 with a sold out headline show in Liverpool. This followed her debut EP ‘Something In Your Teeth’ which was released in 2023. Esme's music has gained support from New Music Friday UK, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio. Esme was also named one of the Unsigned Guides’ spotlight artists and was a winner of the Pirate Residency competition.

For fans of: Julia Jacklin, Big Thief, Lucy Dacus, Maddison Cunningham.

Kate Threlfall is a singer-songwriter and actor from Manchester based in London. Following the release of her singles, Stop Hiding and Under My Skin, she is promoting music from Adventures in Wanting - her original play with 14 songs, as performed at Bridge House Theatre earlier this year.
