The Head Hive centre around Chris Algy Thompson (ex – Screaming Blue Messiahs – Motor Boys Motor). The world touring Messiahs were regularly featured on MTV, The Old Grey Whistle Test, Top of the Pops and Peel Sessions among other music shows worldwide. The Messiahs caught the attention of David Bowie, prompting an invitation to support him on stadium tours.

Dynamic bass player Ricky Maguire pins down the rhythm with uncompromising attitude. He’s played with countless bands over the years and has maintained his place in ‘The Men They Couldn’t Hang’ for decades.

Dave Morgan is a feel drummer, laying down soulful beats to compliment the song, also unleashing hard hitting grooves when required.

All three ex members of The Killer B’s are joined by special guest, harmonica player extraordinaire Neil Pond, he also plays with Status Quo members Rhinos Revenge. BJ Cole and Hank Wangford are also regular collaborations.

The Head Hive are a band with a strong Blues influence but flavours of Rock, R&B, Country and Rock and Roll are all present.

Support comes from The Jujubes

The Head Hive

The Jujubes

Nominated for UK Blues Album of the Year 2023

One vocal, one blues harp and two guitars are what makes The Jujubes authentic yet unique, raw stripped-back blues sound.

The Jujubes made their mark on the blues scene last year with their debut album “Where are we now” receiving great reviews, a two-page spread in Blues in Britain magazine and radio play on at least three stations every day for the following 8 months.

They even had Ross King the LA correspondent for Good Morning Britain and Lorraine write about them saying:

“The debut album from The Jujubes has really cheered me up. If you love Blues, and let's face it, there is no better genre to capture the challenges of the past year or so - then you'll love them. Lead singer Nikki Brooks has a voice made for the genre and it will send shivers up your spine. Have a listen."

They are now riding high with their second album “Raging Moon” going straight in at number 2 on the IBBA (Independent Blues Broadcasters Association) chart and holding the position for over two months.

IBBA also named it named album of the month, along with many other radio stations like The Bear Blues Show giving it the same accolade.
