A brand new night celebrating the very best in emerging talent - raising money for Sue Ryder.

Every week for the past eight or so years, we have been running our New Moon discovery nights. These nights offer up-and-coming artists from around the world the chance to perform on our stage and learn their craft whilst also allowing attendees to see undiscovered, raw talent.

We have hand-picked some of our favourite artists to perform to you on a Friday night - allowing as many people as possible to witness how much local talent pass through Grassroots Music Venues.

Line Up

The Entitled Sons are a family band of 4 brothers and their Dad, from Somerset, UK. They have quickly gained attention for their innovative and eclectic sound, blending elements of rock, pop, and alternative music with a sharp lyrical edge.

Their first release Break topped the Rock charts when Laurie the drummer was only 11 years old. They were quickly spotted and picked up to play at festivals throughout the summer, on the main stage line ups, alongside The Kaiser Chiefs, Lightning Seeds, The Libertines,Tom Odel & The Feeling.

In 2023 they also won a competition to play at Glastonbury Festival where they delighted packed audiences on all the stages they played. They continued the season with a series of successful appearances at festivals such as Boomtown and Home Farm Fest.

After their sell out One Shot Tour in Autumn 2023, they have been writing and releasing further music and headlining at a series of Festivals over the Summer of 2024 and are set for their second Tour ‘Still too Young’ this Autumn which is also looking to be a sellout.

Their music reflects a diverse range of influences, from classic rock legends to contemporary indie acts, creating a unique sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. Their music is characterized by catchy melodies, powerful guitar riffs, and thought-provoking lyrics that often delve into themes of identity, societal expectations, and personal freedom as well as having to negotiate their way through life as four teenage boys.

The band's name, The Entitled Sons, reflects their ironic take on the generational stereotypes often associated with the modern world. They challenge these notions through their music, exploring what it means to find one's own path in a world full of expectations.

With their energetic powerful live performances and a rapidly growing fan base, The Entitled Sons are quickly making a name for themselves on the UK music scene. Whether through their powerful lyrics, distinctive sound, or mesmerising stage presence, The Entitled Sons are a band that demands to be heard, offering a fresh perspective on the world through the universal language of music.

As a new artist, at just 20, Ladybyrd has already garnered attention with her unique sound, heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies and captivating live performances. Ladybyrd kicked off 2024 in spectacular fashion with the release of her soul-stirring single ‘Way Back Home’ with a chorus that echoes through your mind. Quickly followed by her beautifully anguished, delicate yet cutting single ‘Open Cage’ as the inaugural glimpse into her highly anticipated, enchanting debut album, to be released early ’25.

Ladybyrd’s music captivates with a sonic voyage, exploring themes of self-discovery, empowerment and personal growth. Her multidimensional sound infused by cinematic soundscapes and dreamy synths is married with lyrics that will resonate with listeners.

“Her trajectory continues to soar to dizzying heights; her ascent is not just assured but imminent.” 1883 Music

Sunday Times Culture “Breaking Act”

Harry Marshall has been playing in pubs and to audiences since he was just thirteen years old and seven years later he does not disappoint when playing. Bringing his electric stage presence to the front of house, his tunes are rocking, fast paced, relatable and at times somber, heartbreaking and uniquely emotive. Yet all sitting behind a capturing voice and acoustic guitar. When the time calls Harry fronts a full band with the charisma and stage presence reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen and Michael Hutchins. Harry released his debut single Epilogue on the 26th of February 2016 through The A & R Department and records, sparking tens of thousands of streams and downloads in the United States, France, and the UK. Epilogue charted internationally and peaked worldwide at number #19 on the Indie Music iTunes chart. Gaining airplay on Triple J Australia’s largest independent radio station, as well as other independent and college radio stations nationwide and in The United States, UK and Europe. Harry spent 12 months living in Paris writing and honing his craft, digging the underground open basket house scene. Now having relocated to London, he's is ready to bring his music to listeners across the UK and in just half a year he has gained a joint online following of 19,000 loyal fans, collaborations and co-write with producers and DJ’s, and even modelled for Dolce Gabbana!
