A unique double concert of Paul's bluesy songs and the piano compositions of his son Andreas, also celebrating Paul's sixteenth album CLOSE TO THE BONE.

Paul Millns came through the British blues scene playing piano for legends like Alexis Korner and Eric Burdon, but it is as a singer and songwriter that in the last years he has been recognised, especially in Europe, and singers like Elkie Brooks and Bonnie Tyler have recorded his songs.

Andreas Millns. Taught piano at a young age by his father, Andreas went out into the world to become one of the most sought-after keyboard players in London, taking influences from jazz, world and classical music, to produce his own sound through his compositions.

Paul served his soul and blues apprenticeship as pianist for the likes of Alexis Korner and Eric Burdon in the 70's. But now it is as a singer and songwriter that he has been recognised, especially in Europe. With a voice and style reminding enthusiastic critics of Randy Newman and Tom Waits, he has just released a new live album [his sixteenth] to celebrate his recent 70th birthday; and singers like Elkie Brooks and Bonnie Tyler have recorded his songs.

His music defies categories, spanning earthy blues ,love ballads, soul rock and jazz. He has one of the most expressive voices you will ever hear, and he uses it to bring out all the emotions he packs into some superb lyrics’ MUSIC WEEK
