Line Up

Hailing from Essex, Novacaine are an upcoming rock band formed by two brothers Harry (23) and Oliver (21). With inspirations from The Cranberries, Radiohead and Cigarettes after sex, the brothers have discovered an unequivocally unique sound. With dark swirls of electric guitar and ethereal vocals laced with innovative lyricism, Novacaine is certainly the band to watch.

As a man caught between two countries, Rob Picazo never really felt Spanish nor English, but music provided an escape into a world that felt warm, welcoming and deeply soulful.

As he explored his father’s vast record collection, the calls of Southern Soul, Rhythm & Blues and Gospel were loud and clear, and so the explosive genius of Ray Charles, smooth Gospel tones of Sam Cooke, and the seductive preaching of Solomon Burke led to an obsession marked by listening, research, and adulation. Over time, all these influences inspired Rob to write songs with themes of vulnerability, intensity and heartache.

Recorded in Memphis with a band that featured Charles Hodges (Al Green) and Kirk Smothers (Silk Sonic), Rob’s upcoming album travels the map of US Soul, R&B and Gospel, drawing inspiration from the sounds of Chicago, New Orleans and, of course, Memphis in the 60s and 70s, as Rob’s caramel vocals sit atop a stew of boiling guitars, simmering organ, soulful horns and funky rhythms.

Born and raised in the south of Spain with her roots consisting of British, Moroccan, Ukrainian and Uzbek, it’s no wonder Malka’s music is huge melting pot of sounds. Malka’s unique sound is a blend of Latin infused pop with raggaeton and dance influences bringing a feel good factor all round.

Building up to her first release she has been working with Latin producer Dukus as well as recording music in Amsterdam with renowned producer Pascal Nanlohy who works with the likes of Sam Feldt and Feddie Le Grand.

Malka has played some small festivals and gigs across the UK and already accumulated 80,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram. With her first track “Pa Ti Pa Ti” dropping October 20th it’s all on eyes on the Latin infused songstress to see what’s to come.
