Bessie Deakin is a singer-songwriter based in London who combines timeless story telling with a unique artistry and vocal style comparable to Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks. She is a regular on the Half Moon stage and it even features in one of her songs 'Extended in Space'.

Her songs take us into the mysterious world of Lady Red and Mr Blue and the events past, present and future that seem to pull them towards each other. The enigmatic title track of her EP 'Lady Red' can be “easily imagined on a Tarantino movie or perhaps James Bond credits”. Displaying her broad vocal ability 'Lady Red' starts with an irresistible subtlety before ascending to its true magnetic terrain.

'Magic Man' her spring 2023 release is a soulful pop song that takes us away from the Mr Blue and Lady Red storyline.

She will be with her full band for the evening and supported by Stephie Grace an award-winning Singer/Songwriter from London who she met by chance this winter in Barnes when Stephie was locked out of her house :)

Stephie Grace is an award-winning Singer/Songwriter from London. With an ear for intricate melody, and a heart for stirring lyrics, her sound is expansive and filmic, with an 80s heartbeat. Her music has appeared in commercials and film, and in 2019 she released “We’re Not Meant to Do This Alone”, an album inspired by and supporting Mental Health, with 50% of the proceeds going to Rethink Mental Illness.
