Utilising his dynamic range, creative lyrical storytelling and vocal versatility, Barry Hendy is a future prince of pop. His debut single 'Yellow Roses' was released in November.

Line Up
Purple Fly is a project curated by Kostantinos Sdoukos alongside aspiring musicians and young creatives of the artistic spectrum. Collectively, they explore streetwise tales and combine them with the poignant lessons of Mediterranean nights.
Currently based in London, their influences stem from British trailblazers such as Arctic Monkeys, Sticky Fingers, Queens of the Stone Age, and Pixies, among others. Purple Fly’s music is robust with profound moments of reflection penned by the lyricist and frontman, Konstantinos Sdoukos. His unique rock and roll style both on record and stage magnetizes the audiences and welcomes them into the enigmatic world of Athenian evening folklore.
In the rollercoaster of youthful emotions, their tracklists demonstrate moments of sensitivity (‘Baby Boy’) and ruthlessness (‘See You Later’). Sincere depth and maturity in writings and musical arrangements further paves the way for a slick and refreshing interplay between anthemic and emotional moments as a hallmark of their rapidly expanding repertoire.

A North London native, Barry Hendy’s love of music and performing was clear from the start. Writing his first song at around 10, his musicality was very clear to teachers and peers alike.
Using the “general” pop formula of few chords and pop-y instrumentation, Barry’s focus is his words. Able to create clear and concise pictures for his audience, his songs often have more than many words, with in-depth and descriptive language that fully encompasses what he’s feeling in that moment. From there, Hendy’s dynamic range and versatile voice allows him to fully deliver a song to an audience, tapping into his emotions at any given time.
