Line Up

The Honey Pot formed as a five piece band in 2012. Playing a blend of Sixties psyche that has its boots in the past but its head in the future, they draw on that unique English inheritance of the surreal and the strange, but are not afraid to indulge in an American West-Coast style adventure when the mood takes them. Purveying a warm brew of hazy recollections and black penny grooves they are thoroughly groovy.

Although thoroughly unique, The Honey Pot would probably admit the following influences, The Yardbirds, The Doors, The Small Faces, Jefferson Airplane, Donovan, The Kinks, The Flaming Groovies, Spirit, The Hollies, The Jeff Beck Group, Love, Kevin Ayers, The Rolling Stones

Spygenius area a classic British four piece pop-combo based in Canterbury and South London. Catchy pop songs, lyrical wit (with many a twist!) and elaborate harmonies to boot. Their music has echoes of all those classic 60s ‘B’ bands – Beatles, Byrds, Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, Bonzos. But it equally resonates with college-radio darlings of later generations like XTC, The Smiths, Robyn Hitchcock, R.E.M.

They have released six albums to date, with 2020’s ‘Man On The Sea’ receiving rave reviews from all quarters (“60s songcraft, allusive lyrics, new wave cojones” – Shindig; “If you only have the budget for one album this year, I’d make it this one! Go do it now!” - A little more vodka, a little less milk), and also have a well-earned reputation as an accomplished live act.

Crystal Jacqueline has fronted many bands along the way, Burning Ice, Hot Spice and Daylights Burning amongst them. She has sung on four different continents and appeared on Arabic Videos, West Country TV and many radio stations. She is also the singer and keyboardist with The Honey Pot.

Formed to highlight the musical skills of Psyche guitar wizard Icarus Peel, the deep throb of Andy Budge with his extraordinary bass and all held together by the multi- talented Jay Robertson on drums. Their critically acclaimed second album 'Shallow Oceans', released in 2020, was drenched in Hendrix, Cream and Joy Division vibes, so much was it's appeal that it was put forward for the Mercury Music Prize....and SHOULD HAVE WON!!!
