Write Like A Girl is back! Join us for an intimate evening of live music and storytelling from some of the UK's best up-and-coming female artists and songwriters. In our first show since February 2020, four artists will perform in a songwriter's circle and share the stories behind the songs. Our nights are special and regularly sell out, so book early to secure a space.

Write Like A Girl is a movement to champion and celebrate female artists and songwriters. Only 18.5% of UK songwriters are women – let's change that together.

Beth Keeping Beth Keeping is a songwriter and pop artist from Surrey, and founder of 'Write Like A Girl'. Her music blends country storytelling with dreamy pop soundscapes to create "pop stories" that speak honestly about everyday situations we face.

ROSSO ROSSO are an Americana duo, with a “beautiful, melodic country vibe” as described by BBC Introducing. Over the last year the best friend duo have written and recorded their first full band EP, written for a Coventry City of Culture 2021 album and supported The Libertines.

BLÁNID Singer/songwriter BLÁNID is a fresh new voice on the UK music scene. Hailing from Ireland, she fuses indie folk and blues with her hauntingly powerful voice and confessional style of lyricism.

serin oh serin oh is a Korean-American artist, searching for new ways to express the duality of a third culture identity through music. She has been on this journey for just over a year alongside her partner, Luke, and her hope is to uplift third culture kids in the creative world through her music, especially fellow second-gen Asians and secret outcasts.

Line Up

Beth Keeping draws influences both from traditional country storytelling and modern pop music. Debuting at #3 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart in 2018 with her EP 'Fool', Beth’s fresh lyrical approach and emotive vocals are building her a reputation as one to watch on the singer-songwriter scene. She is also a passionate supporter of other women in music and founded the 'Write Like A Girl' movement to put the spotlight back on female songwriters.

A UK based Americana, folk and country duo formed around the guitarist Emily Eglinton and vocalist Fiona Laycock. ROSSO released their debut singled ‘Landing Light’ and ‘Good Lord Could’ in Nov ’19. Meeting for the first time as music students, this combination of ‘great guitar chops and ‘tasty Vox’, as described by Newton Faulkner, has been developed over the past year to craft their sound: assured, bold, energetic yet heartfelt.

Blánid grew up in Northern Ireland and Devon and has been involved in music all her life. She has sung at various folk festivals and folk clubs throughout the UK, most recently supporting British folk duo Ninebarrow. She has on one occasion performed on stage with The Levellers, won Gaelic Voices in 2015, and was shortlisted for the Molloy Award in 2017. She has a passion for all types of folk music and enjoys putting her own special spin and interpretation on traditional pieces.
