On Sunday, Morganway will make their return to The Half Moon after the triumph of their appearance at the very first CITA in 2019. Support will be provided by Gasoline & Matches, Chris Mossop and Sandy McLelland.
When Gasoline & Matches make music, an explosion of creativity ignites. Clever thought out lyrics, close harmonies and melodic guitar licks pull you in. No stranger to success and notoriety, two-time British Country Music Association ‘Duo of the Year’ and Birmingham Music Awards ‘Best Folk/Country Act’, chart-topping Gasoline & Matches are known for delivering sharp, energetic performances, with playful humour and serious musicianship.
Chris Mossop is a Scottish singer/songwriter, who has had a blend of comparisons made of him ranging from Damien Rice to Bruce Springsteen and even David Gray. He has one of those distinct voices that fully engages the audience and his tone is heartfelt and surprisingly disarming. No wonder that Jason Rosman of BBC London Radio describes his music as “stunning”, while Forth One Radio say that he is “definitely one to watch”.
Scottish born singer songwriter Sandy McLelland released his very successful new album ‘Cross The Line on 18th September. 2019. The music in ‘Cross the Line’ is unashamedly rooted in the American country, blues, folk and soul music he absorbed in his early days in Glasgow. In addition to being a three-time Grammy winner, Sandy has won many awards during his long and illustrious career. Often full and vibrant, sometimes achingly bare and personal, Sandy is capable and comfortable across many, diverse, musical styles, always with a highly personal core.
