Bruce Juice return to The Half Moon to celebrate Bruce's birthday!
Following two sold out shows, Bruce Juice return to The Half Moon to celebrate Bruce Springsteen’s birthday, with a 3-hour special gig on Friday 18th September 2020.
This show will include all the great classics but also a number of gems from legendary concerts in the 70s combined with great foot-stompers through the decades. There will also be a couple of rare tracks from the early days.
Doors will open at 7:30pm and the band will be on stage at 8:00pm sharp.
This is the only Springsteen tribute band that combines both popular favourites with the essence of Springsteen’s arrangements in legendary live gigs and an unforgettable show.
The first half reproduces the original arrangements from the 1970s Wild, Innocent and a slow, bluesy ‘E Street Shuffle’ as well as the iconic anthems from the ‘Born to Run’ tour.
The second half moves into the 1980s and captures the crisp, rasping sound of the ‘Professor’s’ piano, Federici’s organ and Clarence’s sax from ‘The River’ tour, as well as a few stadium foot-stompers from the ‘Born in the USA’ tour.
There are a couple of surprise gems thrown in, with some great Bruce songs that don’t normally feature in tributes, but are much loved by Bruce fans.
While the term ‘Tribute Band’ is commonly used as a generic grouping, this band will deliver a high-quality performance by professional musicians who are passionate about Bruce Springsteen.
Because of this, you can expect a high-energy show inspired by Springsteen, but not imitating or mimicking Springsteen, which as all fans will know, would be an exercise in failure.
Instead, the band aims to send you home with a strong injection of Bruce Juice until the real thing alights on these shores again.
