Formed in London, Grand Massif started to roll in 2018. In the name of the purest love for Rock n Roll, Blues, and all that chaotic rhythmical and unrhythmical beautiful nonsense grooviness, Marina and James formed the band...
The Idea was to create something dirty but pure, direct but metaphorical, deep but light, clear but full of contradictions at the same time.. sprinkled with passion and darkness for your full enjoyment..
Going through lots of changes, musically and in terms of new band members Grand Massif has finally managed to find the right balance and now is ready more than ever to set your souls on fire...
Defined as a subtle mix of indie, folk and reggae with an upbeat and soulful vibe. Mica Jane has hit the ground running with her newly formed four piece band touring around Guildford Basingstoke and London. The four work together to capture a fascinating sound complemented with a stunning vocal delivery. Aspiring to capture the poetic visceral power of Bob Marley’s lyrics combined with the fascinating and sweet melodies of the Staves. Mica Jane's warm and witty storytelling is not to be missed.
FINOLA is a 22 year old independent, country-pop singer-songwriter from Leeds, based in Manchester.
Since moving to Manchester in 2014 to pursue a career in music, FINOLA has gigged at some of the city's best known venues including Gorilla and Band On The Wall as well as selling out three of her own self-promoted gigs, the latter being at Soup Kitchen in 2018 for the release of her latest single; "Losing Value."
Inspired by the likes of Dolly Parton and Taylor Swift, and with support from her backing band (Jack, Nick & Sam,) FINOLA blends her soft country tone and personal songwriting with a modern Nashville sound to create something that is new, yet relatable for every listener.
After making the big move from his hometown of Melbourne to Scotland, singer songwriter Scott Candlish has been refining his alt-folk style with regular shows in the vibrant city of Edinburgh. The year and a half away has been an enriching and stimulating experience involving exciting travels through Europe and capturing the attention of the local music scene. In August 2018 Candlish was busy during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, heavily involved in the PBH Free Fringe events performing to and reaching a wider international audience. Through writing and collaborating with local musicians he is now gearing up for the release of his third EP and a follow up European tour launch. This upcoming EP will focus on the Australian’s personal journey settling into a new home. Candlish began writing in his hometown and in 2014 quickly became involved in the Melbourne music scene. Since then he has released 2 EP’s in ‘Elusive’ and ‘Home Away From Home’, both launched at the Workers Club. His debut EP solidly identified his earlier rock influences while his sophomore record saw the embellishment of a more diverse instrumentation and embodied a new wave of folk influence. ‘Dulcet acoustic sing-alongs dripping with meloncholy’ – ‘Home Away From Home’ Tone Deaf Premiere While experimenting with new sounds, Candlish continues writing with his favoured blend of folk fingerstyle and alternative rock. He has drawn much influence from the likes of Ryan Adams, Lindsey Buckingham, Angus and Julia Stone and Ben Howard. His most recent singles released in November 2017 were ‘Halfway’ and ‘Stranger’ both available online continue to articulate this blend. Heading into 2019 the release of the brand new EP will see Candlish breaking new territory with a run of UK launch shows and his first European tour.
Seb Stone is an Independent Artist/Producer/Engineer, Singer/Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist who has recorded a new album at his studio in Ealing, West London. He was born into an artistic family from Trinidad and England with both his parents having number 1 singles in the 70's (Mac & Katie Kissoon and R & J Stone). Music is very much in his blood though he found his inspiration later then most and has continued a self taught path ever since.
His new album 'Alchemy' on which he has written, produced, arranged and performed all aspects whilst bringing in female vocalists Katie Kissoon (George Michael, Van Morrison, Roger Waters) and Anella Kissoon (Sting, Meatloaf) for backing vocals & Trumpet Player Chris Storr (Jools Holland) for a Reggae inspired instrumental track marks a letting go in Sebs artistic expression with honest lyrics and heartfelt songwriting.
Tracks on the 10 song album cover a variety of genres from the soul/pop/rock/funk outings of 'My Mind Free', 'Colourblind' and 'Set Myself Freedom' to the roots reggae inspired tracks of 'Two Gun Heaven' and 'Judge Not' to the more folk tinged 'Traveller' and acoustic track 'Hollow', the retro pop flavoured track 'Home' and two piano ballad tracks 'Children of the Sun' and 'Everything'.
Taking inspiration from events around the world from the last few years to looking back through human history, spirituality & reflection alongside identity and personal loss, Seb has learnt to express himself with greater depth through his music.
