Andy White + Daisy Chute + Simon Kaviani

Half Moon - Putney, London

£12 adv / £14 door
Entry Requirements: 18+ after 7pm

Belfast singer-songwriter Andy White has been producing and writing, and is coming out of hiding to tour the UK and Ireland, late 2018.

22 years after its original release, Andy’s debut album ‘Rave On Andy White’ is reissued on October 5 by Vinyl 180. Latest album ‘The Guilty & The Innocent’ is now available on CD and LP through Proper. Both albums are visceral responses from a rock’n’roll poet to the world he sees around him. Belfast during the Troubles, Trump’s America, or the social inequality to which Grenfell Tower is testament.

An acoustic guitar and something to say are powerful weapons. “In these times, we all have to do what we can—and this is what I can do”.

Daisy Chute is a folk/americana artist currently writing and recording her debut folk album with producer and collaborator Tim Baxter.

She has previously released 3 platinum-selling studio albums with Universal Records as part of vocal group All Angels. As well as an award-winning singer and songwriter (BBC, UKSWF), Daisy has worked alongside rock royalty Ray Davies and Kasabian and was a featured vocalist on Radiohead's latest album A Moon Shaped Pool. With songwriting comparisons to Joni Mitchell (BBC Radio), Daisy's singing has been described as “Exquisitely delicious.

Delicate, like a gossamer-winged creature made out of spun gold." Tony Moore (Soho Radio)

Support from Simon Kaviani

Line Up

With the political edge of Billy Bragg, the romance of David Gray and the Celtic lyricism of the Waterboys, Andy is a fully paid up ‘21st Century Troubadour’ (and that’s also the title of his first book, recently published in Ireland to rave reviews).

Belfast born and raised, White has earned a global following for blending folk and pop stylings with a poet’s sensibility. Working with the great names of Irish music - Sinead O’Connor, Van Morrison - and writing with the likes of Peter Gabriel and Neil and Tim Finn, Andy has won Ireland’s top songwriting awards and toured the world many times over.
