The pedigree of THE AGUILAR BLUMENFELD PROJECT with BARRY "THE FISH" MELTON reads like a "who's who" of West Coast psychedelia running from the mid 60's to the present day.

BARRY "THE FISH" MELTON - the co-founder (together with Country Joe McDonald) of San Francisco's foremost psychedelic rock legends Country Joe and the Fish. Barry is acknowledged as one of the world's greatest psychedelic guitarists. He performed with Country Joe and the Fish throughout their illustrious career, including Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 and Woodstock Festival in 1969.

DAVID AGUILAR has played guitar with Bo Diddley, Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker, Big Brother & The Holding Company, Paul Butterfield, Jackson Browne, Santana, Grateful Dead’s Robert Hunter, Norton Buffalo and many more.

ROY BLUMENFELD is the top New York drummer who founded The Blues Project with Al Kooper in 1965. After appearing at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, Roy formed Seatrain. In 2011 Roy was a founder member of The Former Members with original members of The Steve Miller Band, and Country Joe and The Fish. They played many festivals and gigs in the U.K before adding Sam Andrew, guitarist for Big Brother & The Holding Company, and Bex Marshall contributing vocals and guitar on their inaugural 2014 tour as San Francisco Nights. Sadly just after the tour ended (the last gig was at The Half Moon) Sam Andrew died, and the band folded.

STEVE BROWNING was the bass player for another legendary San Francisco band, It’s A Beautiful Day, and played with them at the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2011. In the ‘80’s Steve was the bass player for the The Pretty Things, and later played with David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Brendan O’Neill (Rory Gallagher Band), Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention), Ronnie Spector (The Ronettes), and many more.

BRUCE BARTHOL will be supporting THE AGUILAR BLUMENFELD PROJECT and BARRY "The FISH" MELTON. Bruce was a member of Country Joe and the Fish between 1967 and 1969, appearing on the first five of the band's six studio albums and two subsequent albums, and played The Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. In 1969 he founded Formerly Fat Harry in the U.K, playing the legendary Hyde Park free concerts of 1970 and 1971, and the 1970 Bath Festival.
In 2004 and in 2005 as a member of The Country Joe Band, Bruce played many U.K festivals, including headlining the Isle Of Wight Roots Festival in 2004 and headlining the opening night of Cropredy Festival in 2005. Bruce was also a founder member of the aforementioned Former Members and San Francisco Nights. Following Sam Andrew‘s death he embarked on a solo acoustic career, and on this “one off” performance at The Half Moon, Bruce will weave tales of his astonishing experiences throughout the performance of songs old and new.

ALAN CLAYSON will open the show . A founder member of Clayson & The Argonauts - a band described by “Melody Maker” as holding “a premier position on rock’s lunatic fringe” - Alan is also a solo performer, and New York’s “The Village Voice” described his solo act as "more than just a performance; an experience”. Alan’s songs have been covered by Dave Berry (in whose band he played keyboards in the mid-1980s), and he’s also worked with Wreckless Eric, Jim McCarty of The Yardbirds, Dick Taylor of The Pretty Things, Screaming Lord Sutch, and many others.
