Pioneers are an indie-rock four piece from Southampton. Made up of school friends Sam (Vocals and guitar), Toby, (Lead Guitar), Bailey (Bass) and Charlie (Drums) Pioneers only played their first gig in August 2017. Whats followed has been a whirlwind 8 months that has seen the boys make a name for themselves in the local area, selling out their EP launch show at the Joiners Arms and impressing people with their palpable confidence and swagger. The jewel in the band’s crown so far has been their selection by BBC Radio One to be their featured new artist of the week and having Single ‘Take Time’ played across all major Radio One shows. With a slot booked at Southampton’s Common People Festival in May, this is a huge year for Pioneers as they are back in the studio and desperate to get out and play their tunes to new people. If you like your gigs loud, boozy and a little rowdy then Pioneers are a real band to watch out for in the near future.

Raised in the wilds of central Kentucky, London-based singer-songwriter Grace Binford picked up her father’s for-ten-years-neglected guitar at age 13 and taught herself to play by ear. Having spent her childhood in classical piano lessons and in her parents’ living room listening to the likes of Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, James Taylor, and Crowded House, she began to write her own music as a means of attempting to process and connect with the world outside.
James Randle is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Wimbledon London, that draws influences from the Americana sound of soulful vocals coupled with creative guitar work. James’ mantra is to write and perform an honest open invitation of his vantage point, representing the ‘you are where you’re at’.
Is James as grandiose as someone sent on a divine mission from God to rescue the slalom skiing ducks of Mt FootWeb from the dewy breath of global warming… No He’s simply here to do what he loves and that is to play music the way he knows how.
