Plastic are an alternative rock/grunge band from Cheshire England, through 2017 the band have released a series of singles that feature on their full length record 'Here There Is No Gravity' which is released on March 9th.
The band commented “‘We’re extremely excited to release a body of work that we hold very close to our chests, a lot of pain went into creating this record, but a lot of happiness too. I feel we have created a dynamic record that takes you on a journey. Thematically this record delves into my struggles with substance abuse, the highs and the lows of it and the lack of control, hence the title ‘Here, There Is No Gravity’..
District 13 support
District 13 are a 3 piece heavy alternative rock band based in London. Their sound takes influence from many different musical styles taking influence from The Cult, Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Queens Of The Stone Age, Kings Of Leon, Royal Blood and Rage Against Machine. The songs are mostly uptempo heavy songs and the band prides themselves on their high energy stage show. Lyrically the songs are made of darker themes with topics including love, loss, desire, conformity and dreams.
The band are currently putting material together for their debut album which they aim to release later this year. The band have played a few London shows so far and have received a very positive reception from audiences so far.
Formed in 2015, Plastic are an alt-rock/grunge band who have taken their influences from Nirvana, Failure and Pixies, worn them on their sleeves for all the world to see andd given the alternative scene a much needed wake up call.
Following self releases, a release through Locall Colour Records and an upcoming split EP, Plastic will be making their debut LP in the early part of next year.
In preparation for this; live gigs will be abundant and the best way to show you exactly why this record is going to be not one to be missed.
