Half Moon presents:
Topers & Overfield
Topers + Overfield
Entry Requirements: 18+ after 7pm
Topers are a SW London based band comprising former members of Lowbrow (Kevin Dowd, Shannon Simpson, Simon Bayliss) and Alison Darley, lead singer in the Beautiful South and the South. Topers are all about the songs, and the hotly anticipated debut album is due April 2018.
Overfield is a five piece rock band, based in London, performing and recording their own songs. They are Graham Jackson, Gareth Jones, Elaine O’Connor, Robert Stell and Richard Tarvin. Their music harks back to the grand era of the British blues clubs, when the blues was evolving from 3 chords and 12 bars into what eventually became known as “progressive” rock. Before it got to that point (and to where some say it began to lose its point) we enjoyed Hendrix, Cream, Santana, Traffic and some truly original and exciting music. Think 1971…….
The Topers are the evolution of Lowbrow, the acclaimed indie rock band well known on the Camden/Kentish Town circuit since 2003; played the Reading Festival as XFM competition winners and headlined round London and at small festivals. This is the Topers: Lowbrow, but all grown up.
