Jon Plant is a singer songwriter originally from Yorkshire. His interest in music began in earnest when he started writing for alt indie rock band, Fish Dam Lane. His indie pop punk style developed through his work as lead singer and guitarist with South Yorkshire band, Nowhere Near London. During this time he also began experimenting with solo acoustic material. After spending time in New York in 2016, Jon began writing his current generation of songs which were picked up by indie producers in Athens, Greece, keen to spend some time recording and developing in the studio. Jon first showcased his new style, a mixture of soft haunting sounds with a sprinkling of indie punk, in the city that inspired this new raft of material, at The Bowery Electric, New York. He has since relocated to London.
“haunting and soulful, beautiful in fact” - Torben Betts, Playwright
