Symphorien Demares is an energetic modern jazz guitarist from France. Combining the warmth of blues the heaviness of rock and the harmonic subtlety of jazz, his music mixes influences from Bill Evans to Jimi Hendrix. Heavy guitar fireworks to be expected!
Intertidal is a Canadian/British melodic Folk\Jazz duo formed in London in late 2016. The main focus of the act is based around well crafted songs that combine interesting and thought provoking lyrical content, harmony, and most importantly, lush vocal arrangements. The act first started to come together when the two members met at the Dublin Castle in Camden during a jam night regularly hosted by the venue. Since then they have consistently and tirelessly been working on putting together a bank of songs that vibrantly and fearlessly demonstrate the shared and individual musical values of all those involved. Amidst the acts creative cross fire, much of the overall sound is influenced by American songwriters of the 70s such as Jackson Browne, James Taylor and Billy Joel. However, there is really no limit on the bands palette of influences, and so tinges of Rock, Jazz, Soul, RnB, Folk and Bluegrass all can be heard in the bands general sound.
Eugene Ripper is a Canadian punk/alt folk pioneer. After cutting his rock and roll teeth as a founding guitar slinger for Canada's first wave surf punk rockers Stark Naked & The Fleshtones, Ripper launched into a storied solo career featuring a unique mashup of folk, roots punk, and rock and roll. He lands at The Half Moon promoting his 7th album Altercool.
" From barbed fast' n' furious solo acoustic punk folk, rockabilly and rock n roll to imaginative storytelling atmospherics and post modern lyrical ballads. It's a cool and entertaining ride." Montreal Gazette
" Ripper puts spikes back in folk music." Vancouver Province
" One of Canada's most respected yer underexposed songwriters." Toronto Star
