Here is our Line-Up:
Fresh from a sold out show at Servant Jazz Quarters last month, Miles Horn is a soulful singer-songwriter with an incredibly warm and powerful voice. Tipped by many including BBC Introducing and credible online tastemakers, there is much more to come from this promising indie newcomer.
Blind balladeer and spiritual svengali songsmith Paul Quigley is an enigma. Born in East Anglia to a Scouse father and half-Irish mother, Paul grew up in a Britain where disability and being different were either victimised, teased, bullied or simply ignored by an establishment whose only concerns were of survival of the fittest. If you didn't fit neatly in the category of academic high-achiever in those days, if you didn't fit in, you were left on the social scrapheap.
His determination to prove to the world that being blind is no barrier to boldness of spirit and a hunger to express the gamut of emotions of the human condition, from love songs to rebel songs, Paul Quigley is a unique voice in the musical firmament whose lyrics, voice and musicality need to be heard to be believed.
Jo Ash Music
Captivating singer-songwriter Jo promises dynamic vocal performances accompanied by expressive piano playing. Sometimes likened to Kate Bush and Siouxsie Sioux, yet maintaining uniqueness in her style, Jo has the ability to reel audiences into her world during her live shows. She has appeared at Cambridge’s Strawberry Fair, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Cambridge Rock Festival.
Jo has released two EPs - Lucid Dreams and Locked In - and her debut video single Embers was released in 2016. Jo’s mesmerising latest single - Otherworldly - from her forthcoming album was released on 10th January 2017.
Jo will be appearing at the Half Moon with special guests Mike Wheatley on guitar and Nigel Turner on bass.
“Jo Ash was just wonderful - a beautiful lady playing amazing songs with charm, passion and verve”. (Howard Rankin, Cambridge Rock Festival, 2017)
HEBE, Amsterdam’s emerging songstress is set to release her latest single “Limits” via HEBE-MUSIC. Produced by pop-specialist Jack van de Ven, co-produced and mixed by Huub Reijnders and Mastered by Frans Hendriks, the track follows ‘Tell Me’, “Take Him Down” and ‘I Knew It From The Start’ which have collectively racked up over 678 thousand Spotify plays, with the former premiering through The 405, Noisey and Youtube channel Keep It Underground. HEBE looks forward to travelling 44 cities through her homeland with ‘De Popronde’ from September to December and will be gracing the stages of ‘De Parade’ in The Netherlands.
